We’re looking for a talented, service-oriented professional to join our growing Training Team at DocNetwork. This position offers critical support to clients and end-users of DocNetwork software (CampDoc & SchoolDoc) by developing training content such as walkthrough guides, technical walkthroughs and instruction, video scripts, and other learning materials that empower our clients to do more with our application.  The resources developed by the Training Content Developer will be utilized for both client training and internal team training and development.

Starting Salary Range: $45000 - $55000

  • Write, edit, and maintain technical documents including reference guides and online client resource pages
  • Write and edit procedural documentation such as user guides and manuals
  • Determine the type of learning resource that will best meet a project's requirements
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of our application and consult with internal teams to stay current on changes in our application as well as the pain points our clients are experiencing.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all areas of the CampDoc/SchoolDoc application
  • Develop product knowledge expertise to support new product rollouts, revisions, and releases with new learning content
  • Assess the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjust tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding.
  • Plan content development timelines and set deadlines and release dates.
  • Create or work with graphic designers and content creators, to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
  • Gather feedback from both customers and the DocNetwork team to improve technical documents.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior technical writing experience
  • Prior experience organizing a knowledge base and client-facing learning materials
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience designing software training materials is preferred
  • Prior experience working with an LMS is preferred
