Product Manager, Remediation

This product manager leads our remediation function, which is the process by which we remove thousands of pieces of information from the Internet. This information, unchecked, makes consumers vulnerable to identity theft, wire fraud, doxxing, harassment, stalking and more perpetrated by bad actors. As our remediation leader, you will be responsible for building out this critical function, creating the vision, strategy, processes, procedures, and policies for efficient information removal.

You will interface with leading privacy experts including our outside legal counsel for their guidance, and be a key member of the team interfacing with our privacy advisory board. You will lead the development of relationships with major data brokers and social media platforms with whom we interface to request information be deleted. You’ll define and guide technology requirements to maximize remediation speed and success, in concern with our product management capability. This role requires constant problem solving, systems thinking, an always-on optimization mind, and armchair attorney mindset.

Location This position is fully remote. Applicants must be based in the United States.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure the fastest and highest success rate of data removal.
Manage remediation tool including workflow approval.
Provide input to product managers on how to further automate our remediation platform.
Escalate any protected data sets including minor nudity and criminal activity to law enforcement.
Exception handling to find the counterparty to engage when our automated tool cannot locate.
Counterparty relationship development with major data owners to ensure smooth procedure of DSAR request handling and resolution, e.g. Zillow, Google.
Handle client authentication exception requests.
Recommend and implement procedures and processes to eliminate exceptions.
Interfacing with customer success for Level 1 alerts.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures with general counsel input.
Track all counterparties using our remediation platform.
Develop and manage remediation KPIs.

Qualifications

3-5+ years experience in product or project management role(s) in a SaaS/technology/consumer tech organization
Strong technical, operational, project management or process management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Background in technology or related technical or product management field
Prior experience or substantial familiarity with privacy, credit or identity protection is strongly preferred

Compensation

$90-120k+ USD, dependent on experience, plus meaningful stock options
