Looker BI Developer

About this Role

We are seeking a Looker BI Developer to join our growing Data Engineering team. You will serve as our in-house, Looker expert and work to deliver an exceptional BI experience for our business stakeholders. Your expertise in Looker, BI and Data Engineering will help us achieve our goal of becoming a data-led company that’s able to deliver insights and capabilities that nobody else has in our space.

You will

• Build Dashboards, Looks, and Explores based on business requirements
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements 
• Manage all aspects of our Looker deployment from configuration, to security, to end-user experience
• Surface data points in BigQuery using LookML
• Model data and work to optimize our data warehouse using ELT methodologies
• Participate in a Scrum team with other members of the data engineering team

You have

• 3+ years of hands-on, Looker experience 
• 3+ years of experience writing LookML
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience using programming languages to build data pipelines
• 3+ years of experience working with data warehouses, ideally BigQuery
• Experience working with 3rd party data provider APIs
• Experience with version control via git

• Experience using dbt for transformations
• Experience with Fivetran or other ETL tools
• Experience with machine learning
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Experience with Mulesoft
