JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for the management and administration of corporate back-office functions, including but not limited to HR, Finance, Contracts, and general company administration. This role will also include occasional, project-based support to the CEO, COO and/or the leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Operations Manager role is comprehensive and may include the following responsibilities:

  • Human Resources (e.g., employee onboarding/offboarding, support and engagement, HRIS administrator, payroll administration)
  • Recruiting
  • Facilities & Asset Management (ensure the facility is well-maintained and stocked; track corporate equipment)
  • Corporate Compliance
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping Coordination utilizing Quickbooks Desktop / Quickbooks Time
  • Being accountable for expense and account reconciliation
  • Corporate Records Management
  • Statement of Work / Contract Review and Approval
  • Managing Operations staff (currently one, but this will grow)
  • Coordinating corporate events/meetings (e.g., space reservations, catering, activity planning, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree Required; Bachelors Degree desired
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience as indicated in the job description

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proactive in seeking areas of the organization that can benefit from new efficiencies
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and has prior experience in Quickbooks
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities
  • Have a strong work ethic with a get it done attitude by being accountable for tasks
  • Be a curious learner and never settle for mediocrity
  • Have the drive to be a team player, supporting the organization’s staff as needed
