Senior Frontend Software Developer

Duties and responsibilities

• Work with business representatives, Lead Developers, and the Director of Software Development to design, build and test new products and features
• Participate in the development and testing of internal tools, scripts and coding projects
• Troubleshoot and optimize code for usability, performance, and scalability

·       Follow established coding and software tools standards in adherence to established security and quality control standards for software development

·       Provide technical guidance to junior team members

Requirements and qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 5+ years as a Front-end web developer

• Very strong and demonstrable analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills
• Understanding of modern CSS features like flex and grid, and how to use them in responsive web design
• Understanding of HTML semantics and ARIA roles, and their appropriate usage
• Experience developing accessible code in compliance with WCAG 2.1
• Understanding of modern JavaScript features
• Experience building modular, reusable, flexible, and accessible components in a modern front-end framework like React or Vue

·       Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases and basic query analysis and optimization
