QA Engineer

At Finite State, we are leveraging massive amounts of data to solve the next generation of security problems generated by the Internet of Things (IoT). We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to help us provide comprehensive cybersecurity for modern networks. The individual filling this role will work on building world class information security products with one or more agile development teams. Primary responsibilities for this position include:

- End to end manual and automated testing of the Finite State software platform

- Test new features developed in agile development teams

- Work with product management and engineers to identify solutions to discovered issues

- Design and implement full stack testing plans and suites

- Build and maintain a comprehensive suite of automated platform tests

- Functional, regression, exploratory, performance, and usability testing

- Data anomaly detection

Requirements

Candidates at a minimum must have the following:

- Demonstrated experience in a QA engineering role

- Experience with 3rd party testing tools such as EmailOnAcid, BrowserStack

- Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress.io

- Experience with sprint management and bug tracking tools such as Jira

- Experience writing SQL queries to validate data deliverables

- Strong communication skills

- Strong organization skills

- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing Agile environment

It’s preferred (but not required) that the candidate have experience with:

- Experience working independently in a small startup company

- Continuous Integration frameworks such as Github Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins

- Internet Of Things (IoT) device testing and development processes

- Github and Gitflow workflow processes

- AWS Infrastructure
