Group/Division
With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities
KLA is seeking a motivated, experienced software algorithm engineer to join our algorithms team within our AI and Modeling Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. In this position, you will bring industry experience and/or academic background to research and develop new Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Image Processing algorithms for KLA’s innovative Broadband Plasma wafer inspection products. You will bring forward and help drive creative ideas, provide technical expertise, and support other team members, collaborators, and customers.
Qualifications
- 1-7 years of work experience required in development of any of the following: SW framework development for Computer Vision, Deep Learning (for images), Machine Learning (for images), Artificial Intelligence (for images), or Image Processing
- Experience prototyping Algorithms using MATLAB(No matlab) or Python, and implementing algorithms in C/C++ software under Linux is highly preferred
- Full stack hands-on experience with data and backend SW infrastructure and front-end and user interface for algorithms(user interface exp is not needed) is preferred
- Solid Experienced on CUDA programming and Tensorflow is highly preferred
- Proven framework background
- DevOps and Data Prep background is required
- Great teammate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What will differentiate you
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cutting-edge research in deep learning and computer vision. Hands on experience solving computer vision challenges, strong image processing fundamentals, and an appreciation of complex image acquisition systems are highly desirable.
Hybrid Work:
This position will require 3 days in office.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Applied Math, or Physics or related field preferred and 2+ years of industry work experience
- Master's Level Degree with 5+ years of industry work experience
